AMD Flashing

Hello everyone,
Just want to start out by saying I am no computer expert and just started mining, so if this is a dumb question that’s my bad.

Right now I am running HiveOS with a (1) RX 570 & (2) RX 560, but the RX 560s show up as RX 460 so they work in Hive. I have 1 more RX 560 but when I plug it in it show up as 560 and does not mine.

My question is can I flash the 560’s with the 460 bios? They are different manufacture brands, see below.

Working GPUs
MSI RX 570 Hynix
Powercolor RX 560 Hynix (shows up as RX 460)
Asus RX 560 (shows up as RX 460)

Not Working GPUs
Gibabyte RX 560 Hynix

If HiveOS shows RX 560 like RX 460 this mean only one thing - it’s not clean RX 560 , it’s RX 560D.
RX 560D has the same tech specs. as RX 460 (896 stream proc vs 1024 on clean RX 560 ).
AMD is trying make all the money and want to sell all its chips, even those that turned out to be a little bit defective)

You can made BIOS mod on Polaris BIOS Editor v1.6.7 and up, which fully understand RX560D
Some piece of luck after BIOS mod RX 560D and may be unlocked to RX 560 like RX460->RX560 (but it’s subject to another story)

Thanks HaloGenius, I knew that some 560s where 460s. I am getting a decent Hash out of them with basic Bios mod and overclocking. Just want to get the other Rx560 going. Is there something I can do to HiveOS to get the 560 working?

Anybody know what I need to do to get my RX 560 working in HiveOS?

Updated the OS and now the 560 is mining, sluggishly but mining.

Try manually update drivers to 17.50 version

I got the overclocks set and now it is hashing where it should! Thanks HaloG!
