Low hashrate 2060 super

I found it… 90.06.44.80.51 is here VGA Bios Collection: KFA2 RTX 2060 Super 8 GB | TechPowerUp
So the main thing Im worried about is that there is one display port less on that card comparing to mine.

Comparison (differneces bolded):

90.06.44.80.51 (lukas BIOS 43+MHs - KFA2 EX)

I think that Boost Clock should not be the problem…
Can someone tell worst case scenario if I change the BIOS… will I only loose one DP… or I can brick the GPU… or?

I’m having the same problem with my Gainward Ghost 2060 super. Not able to reach hash rate above 38MH/s. Created an account specially for this topic.

BIOS ver.: 90.06.44.40.02
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER na GPU TU106-A

I reviewed the previous posts again.

It seems that the OP (daniyalkza) has the same BIOS version in its card as mine, ie 90.06.44.40.02 and also reaches around 38MH / s.

Larryville78 a few posts below the OP also has a card with exactly the same BIOS i.e. 90.06.44.40.02 and it reaches about 44MH / s …

So I’m a bit skeptical now if it’s really a BIOS issue.

Okay Charta, now I see what is your point. Sorry for messing around.

From info in this post it seems like:

  1. Only 2060s with Micron memory are affected (my card is also equipped with Micron).
  2. 2060s running on the same BIOS (90.06.44.40.02) has extremely different results depending on whether it is equipped with Samsnug or Micron bones (44 vs. 38 MH / s).
  3. 2060s equipped with the same Micron memories achieves extremely different results (38 vs. 43 MH / s) depending on the BIOS version (90.06.44.80.51 gives 43MH / s).

Flashing the BIOS could potentially make sense then.

What about the solution presented by hkuve2? Has anyone managed to replicate its success?

@ Grosahe

I didnt try hkuve2 solution, Im running my rig on HiveOS… he managed to solve it in Windows.
I tried to lower power to 124W but HiveOs wont let me because lower limit for my card is 125W.
The wierd thing is that after OC my card running @ 94W, no matter power limit is set to 125W.
I see that luka and daniyalkza have simmillar situation @108W, 102W…

I decided to give it a try with that BIOS. Maybee this weeekend… hoping that it will help. Like I said before, the main concern is different number of ports on those cards so Im prepared to worst case scenario to brick the card… so I need enough time if that happens I can try to unbrick it.

Guys, I tried again so many differents overclocks settings on HiveOS GUI (the image show just some of my tests). What I can notice from these tests is the behavior of the core clock.

The Core Clock follows the settings what I set on Hiveos GUI until some point. Over that, no matter how I increse the settings, nothing change. For example: I was changing core clock from 0 to -500 and my frequency core clock results was going up until ~870MH/z. If I try to increase GUI setting beyound that (like -600 or -700), nothing changes, with the core staying at ~870MH/z. Imput a absolute core clock in GUI (like 1080) on this card seems not work either.

I’m using T-REX Miner. Maybe another miner could work. But I couldn’t try yet.

Just some more information here maybe help someone to understand better and finally solve this issue.

Managed to get 40.9MHs

Im still planning to flash BIOS.

@Churta, how do you get 40.9MH/S? What kind of procedure did you do? Please, I’m very desperate to get some more hashrate on this card. For me, just setting your overclocks values wont help.

Nothing special. It took me some time to find sweet spot. I increased core and mem in steps of 10 untill it starts to drop MH. Then I lowered it back and thats it.

Thanks a lot! Increased my hashrate from 37 to 40.32 (stable). See settings in image attached.

Perfect, I’m glad to see this issue was solved.

i am manage to get 45.27MHs

Guys, the issue persist on HiveOS for specifc bios version in some 2060 super cards. Maybe I could solve my problem if I try what @hkuve2 did on windowns, but I really want to keep working on HiveOs.

@meteorpalu probably soon you will blowup your card using mem clock like that.

So, again: has anyone managed to solve this problem on HiveoS using specific bios version of 2060 super which can’t reach 40MH/S?

@daniyalkza, you which have 4 cards with this problem, did you find any solution?

thanks brother for information about my mem clock i will change

Yeah, need help with setting it up in HiveOS. In Hive, with same overclocks as I did in windows to achieve 40+ doesn’t work and the watts consumed is still low (around ~112). Can’t we do core clock curve editing in Hive or like save our windows overclock settings to the bios itself?

Your memory is Samsung’s. OP’s issue is with Micron memory for some brands.

Hi, I’ve been running my 2060 super like this for a few months now:

It’s running on trex miner now, on phoenix it runs 43+.
I’m testing some settings

I can increase the hashrate to 44+ but it was not very stable while booting.
Once it boots, it runs fine at those settings though.

thanks for this!~

Hello, im newbie on mining. I have a this GPUGeForce RTX 2060 SUPER Dual 8GB GDDR6 (NE6206S018P2-1160A) and i have low h/ratę 36 on OC. Any solutions for this GPU?. My power limit its 100%
