Monero cryptonight V8 - My head explodes!

Hi guys

I feel like i need to shout out for some help!

We are many users that can not get Monero mining up and running after the fork.

Are there anyone who can post a “guide” with screenshoots about how to configure xmr-stak to mine Monero with AMD RX570/580 cards?

Or anyone who has it working can also get access to my rig if that is easier.

Please do this so we can get going again mining Monero, i have asked many people for help, but no one has solved it.

Looks like its mining with CPU, i dont want that…i have 1 gpu missing in the guiweb and it shows 2 cpu?

2 CPU and 1 GPU missing…whats wrong?

Where did you paste the text above?
You need to paste it in the AMD config overreide and leave the nvidia one empty.
In the CPU one you can paste
“cpu_threads_conf” : null,
to disable cpu mining

please post your XMR stak config screenshot like I did above (post#2)

I wil post my screenshoots, but i see the 3 first line in the config says 16 and the rest 8, i s that correct?
I also pasted it in the AMD config.

I used the 8 on card 3 (in my rig) because this card performs more stable with this.

You can start with 8 or 16. Mostly it makes no difference.

Have you recently updated hive without rebooting?

Did a reboot of the rig 5 min ago, here is pictures:

Is there a nvidia card installed too? Does the board have an onbaord grafic card? Is it enabled?
Please raise the “AMD config” field so I can see the full text.

Furthermore: Is this the rig with 10 cards or a test rig with less cards?

Ah…sorry, this is the TEST RIG and it has 1 card, should i do this on the other rig i guess?

And as you see both rigs mine ETC and did also mine Monero before the fork, so i dont think it has anything to do with an onboard video card?

When you only test with the single-card-rig your amd-config must only have the code for index 0 :unamused:

Yes i have tried to understand it, but i am quite new. It was easy before the fork, then i just picked from the dropdown menu and it was up and running and i come from ethOS so new to HIve OS.

I try the config now on the other rig with 10 cards…

Ok, your cards are hashing. This means the config file is ok.

now there is a timeout to nanopool. Please try another pool to check it there are problems too.
minexmr for example.

Edit: But one card is missing, right? The miner only sees 9 cards, right?
