RX6800 - Efficient Overclocking

same :

after reboot :

Post amd-info

Power required to get my worst 6800 running:

Have any entries in:

  • SoC Frequency (Mhz)
  • SoC VDDmax, (mV)

Using PhoenixMiner. Runs stable. SoC Frequency 805

wow, the hashrate is so good, but i wonder how much ur wattage is at the wall ?

  • I tested with 805 and 0 it’s same
  • tested gminer,Nb, phoenix, trm same
  • many oc same problème

@SunshineMiner with your info same :disappointed:

the problems remain on Gpu 1 which is an 6800 FE

after a reboot/reboot miner the hashrate is no longer the same and often low on the Gpu 1

EDIT :
what seems to work for GPU 1 , but I think random :

This clearly indicates, it needs some voltage to bump up some of the less easy/automatic states.

What is amd-info while it is running at 62?
Have you removed the XT and tried the 6800 in the same slot solo?

no i test with the two gpus ,
here is the info now :

but what is strange is if i reboot it will no longer have the same hashrate

Stop miners
Apply new clocks
Restart miners

?

yep every time

Are you rebooting every time?

I am not tracking that part of your troubleshooting process.

yes every time like all my rigs

While tuning overclocks with these GPUs, I would not be doing that unless you are running additional scripts, grub edits, etc.

You have a GPU that is going to require some fine tuning, unlucky, but happens. Right now almost 20% of my 6800’s require some additional tweaks to run 61.5MH/s+ through reboots, upgrades, etc.

stop/restart miner here:

about 1275-1315 watts

thanks you , i will be careful

thank you!

Here are the OC setting I use along with the implementation of @frxbg’s script.upp.sh solution (RX6800 - Efficient Overclocking - #349 by frxbg).

How and why u set DPM?

Don’t, not applicable, look at the posting date. Prior to F-State scripting and HiveOS Kernel update #72 which has it in the baseline.

That DPM setting was a relic of my RX470/570’s which were in that rig. Was a pain to remove them
